    Bellingen Riverwatch - Meet the Scientists

    You are invited to Meet the Scientists involved on the 'Bellingen Riverwatch – Our River, Our Futureproject. Come along and meet real scientists who specialise in various fields, relating to monitoring river health and saving threatened species, including the Bellinger River Snapping Turtle. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions, learn more about their work and why they do what they do.

    There will be light refreshments between the two events and full catering will be provided at the Community Information Session.

    Bellingen Riverwatch - Community Information Session

    You are invited to a community information session to hear the latest about the 'Bellingen Riverwatch - Our Rivers, Our Future' project. Come along to learn about what the project is trying to achieve, what data and outcomes it is contributing to and how the community can be involved.

    Current and interested volunteers are encouraged to stay on for a 'Volunteer Information and Training Session'. This will focus on volunteer skill building, learning more about the data they are collecting, and training (e.g. photo point). Non-volunteers are also welcome to see what volunteering is all about.

    PROGRAM:

    • 5:00 - 5:30 - Community Information Session
    • 5:30 - 6:00 - Break and Mingle (catering provided)
    • 6:00 - 6:45 - Volunteer information and training session

    The evening's events are preceded by an opportunity to 'Meet The Scientists' involved in the project. Read about and register for this event separately
