Workplace giving is a convenient and effective way to donate to OzGREEN on a regular basis. Under a workplace giving program, your donation is deducted from your monthly or fortnightly pay and is sent to OzGREEN directly by your employer. All donations made in this way are tax deductible.
Simple, easy steps for workplace giving
Donations to OzGREEN through workplace giving happen in one of two ways:
Formally, through a workplace giving program established by your employer, which includes OzGREEN; or
Informally, by requesting that your employer make a regular deduction from your pay which is then sent to OzGREEN as a donation.
Under either option, you can choose to donate a specified amount from each pay to OzGREEN.
If you choose to donate to OzGREEN through a workplace giving program, your employer will deduct your specified donation from each pay and forward your donation directly to OzGREEN, along with any donations made by other staff at your workplace.
Tax and other benefits of workplace giving
All donations to OzGREEN through workplace giving are tax deductible. Donating through workplace giving to OzGREEN could reduce the amount of the tax taken out of your pay. You must still include your donations in your annual tax return through the summary of donations which your employer will give you at the end of the financial year. OzGREEN will manage these details with your workplace.
Workplace giving also saves paper, time and administrative costs as you will receive a summary of donations rather than a receipt for each donation. Your employer will provide you with a summary of your donations.
