OzGREEN programs connect youth with communities to become leaders of innovative sustainable social change

New CEO

Dear Friends

I am delighted to let you know of big changes that happened at our OzGREEN Board meeting on Thursday 31 January. After nearly 30 years at the helm, I have stood down as CEO of OzGREEN.

We are delighted to introduce OzGREEN’s new CEO Anton Juodvalkis. Anton has been a member of the OzGREEN Board for over 2 years. He now has some space in his life to dedicate time and talent to get OzGREEN going again. We have been discussing and planning these changes over a few months.

As you know, the over past 2 years since Col died, the organisation has had major setbacks. Now more than ever we need OzGREEN in the world. There is a very small window of opportunity to tackle big challenges like climate change and the Murray-Darling. Youth have a key role to play. It is great to have Anton bring new energy and commitment to help OzGREEN achieve even greater impact. There are enormous opportunities at this time.

I will be working alongside Anton during the transition period over the next 6 months, and will continue to dedicate my energy to OzGREEN through both the Board and my ongoing commitment to Youth Leading the World, Clean Ganges and Bellingen Riverwatch.

We are planning some events to introduce Anton to the OzGREEN community - at this stage in Sydney, Melbourne and Bellingen. I will let you know details in the near future.

Kind regards, Sue

It is with profound sadness that OzGREEN reports the passing of one of our founders, Colin Lennox. Col was diagnosed with advanced cancer on the 19th of December 2016 and died on the 6th February 2017. The rapid onset of the disease and associated symptoms allowed no time for medical intervention. He was surrounded by family at their home outside of Bellingen.
