OzGREEN is excited to be running a 2-day Youth Leading The World Congress in Bellingen early in 2018. The congress will bring together schools from the region for an empowering youth leadership and sustainability gathering.
A core part of the program will be an analysis of the water quality data from the ‘Bellingen Riverwatch - Our Rivers, Our Future’ program with participating students in attendance and students from other schools learning about the citizen science initiative.
The congress will be based around OzGREEN’s award-winning My RiveR and Youth Leading The World Models, and will run from 9am - 3pm each day.
Day 1: Data analysis and Visioning:
Brief report by Bellingen Riverwatch participating schools on the water quality data they have gathered since August 2017; Analysis of data against ANZECC standards; Analysis and ranking of threats to river health and values of the river; Global challenges; and a Vision for the future of Our Rivers.
Day 2: Change, Action and Community Forum:

The community forum will run from 2-3pm and the invitee list will include: general community members, parents and stakeholders, as well as, the partners, scientists and community volunteers involved in Bellingen Riverwatch.
