YOUth LEADing The World-Sydney                 20th-21st July 2024 and  YLTW Community Forum afternoon 28th July 2024.Coastal Environment Centre, Garigal land Narrabeen.

YLTW PROGRAM
The free program is  highly participatory providing you with skills to tackle today's challenges and empowering you to create your solution focused actions with a group of like minded young people.
Imagine  young people coming together to tackle global sustainability challenges such as  climate change, biodiversity, water, energy, food and waste and plan together how they can create positive change. YOUth LEADing the World (YLTW) is an OzGREEN initiative that enables young people to find their own voice and become active leaders in creating fairer futures. Youth leadership, social innovation and community driven change are key. 

Led by OzGreen trained facilitators. The  Focus, Vision, Change , Action program takes participants on a fun and  inspiring journey to deal with climate change and environmental challenges. 
It takes place at The Coastal Environment Centre

Day 1:Saturday 20th July   9am-3.30pm.    FOCUS & VISION

Global & Local Challenges & Vision:
Eco footprint; Pulse of the Planet (local and global challenges including climate change, water, energy, food, biodiversity, waste); Create a positive vision for the future

Day 2: Sunday 21st July    9am-3.00pm     CHANGE & ACTION

Be the Change:
Creating change brainstorm; one planet living plan; social innovation for sustainability; inspiring change stories; action planning to achieve sustainability vision.

Day 3: Sunday 28th July    1pm-4pm.   Community Forum   SHARE & CONNECT

The YLTW Congress is followed with a youth-led Community Forum for government and local businesses, parents, teachers, principals and the public - designed and run by young people to seek support for their action plans.The Youth-Led Community Forum will place on Sunday afternoon 15th October  at the Coastal Environment Centre.  Action plans to be shared at the Global Youth Summit. With other YLTW groups in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. 
1pm-3pm  preparation time and 3pm-4pm Community forum presentations. 

There is also options for ongoing mentoring: Local YLTW Facilitators provide ongoing support to implement yours action plans.

After registration we will be in touch with to arrange a short pre congress interview on zoom to be held in June at a time that suits you. We will be sending out  email and text reminders about the program. Please tell your friends about it and suggest they register too. s
