Programs for connected, resilient communities.
Potential is everywhere. Access isn't.
Living regionally shouldn't mean missing out on opportunities, experiences or connection.
We bring people together through STEM, citizen science, nature and practical action to build skills, strengthen wellbeing and protect the environment.
STEM & Future Pathways
STEM Conference for Regional Girls
Opening STEM possibilities for regional girls.
Our STEM Conference for Regional Girls gives Year 8 students hands-on STEM experiences, real role models and the chance to see where STEM could take them.
Regional STEM Pathways
One inspiring day open a door to possibilities you couldn’t even imagine.
We want to keep it open.
We’re building a year-round pathway connecting regional girls with STEM mentors, workplaces, hands-on experiences and real education and career opportunities from Year 8 through to Year 12.
We’re inviting partners to help build it.
Citizen Science & Healthy Rivers
Bellingen Riverwatch
Award-winning program where local people become citizen scientists to monitor the health of the Bellinger and Kalang rivers and build the evidence needed to protect them. Together, volunteers have built the largest community water quality dataset of its kind in NSW.
Macro Muster
Australia's largest citizen science waterbug monitoring program, bringing scientists and community members together to understand and protect local rivers. More than a science event, this innovative model connects scientists directly with regional people and builds community.
Biodiversity & Healthy Ecosystems
Save the Glossy Black
Helping the vulnerable Glossy Black-Cockatoo survive on the Coffs Coast by planting future feed trees, engaging citizen scientists and giving local people a practical way to protect this vulnerable species.
Community Tree Planting Projects
Inclusive, hands-on community planting projects that restore native habitat, strengthen biodiversity and connect people of all ages with nature and each other.
Wellbeing & Community Resilience
Walk. Eat. Connect.
Guided bushwalks, shared meals and community conversations to strengthen connection to nature and community, build confidence and motivation and support wellbeing.
WE CAN
Practical, hands-on workshops that bring people together to build food resilience, disaster preparedness skills and stronger local connections.
From growing food and breadmaking to preserving and power outage cooking, participants learn useful skills, share knowledge and feel better prepared for what comes next.
Youth Leading the World
Connecting young people globally to mobilise the next generation of social innovators.
30+ years of practical community action.
For more than 30 years, OzGREEN has been working alongside communities to turn ideas into practical action.
From citizen science and environmental restoration to youth leadership, STEM pathways and community wellbeing, our programs are designed around real local needs and delivered in partnership with the people who know their communities best.
We believe lasting change happens when people are given the knowledge, confidence and opportunity to get involved. That’s why our work is hands-on, place-based and focused on building stronger, more connected and resilient communities for the long term.
Help make this work possible.
We work with councils, government, philanthropy and businesses to create practical programs that strengthen regional communities and protect the environment.
