    We run weekly meet-ups to support regional young people to bring a project to life together! Participants meet new people, work together as a group, and make change in their community!

    During term : a weekly after-school meet-up over 10 weeks

    During school holidays : a three-day program, delivered over 3 days or 3 weeks

    Our team of expert waste education staff and volunteers monitors, separates and conducts in-event education for event goers, to reduce food waste at events and festivals.

  • Youth Leading the World Facilitator Training

    OzGREEN trains local people to run Youth Leading the World in their own school or community. Participants learn how to organise and facilitate, and features skills training in measuring eco-footprint, presentation skills, strategic questioning and deep listening, visioning, innovation and creative thinking, creating vibrant goals, creating action plans, and keeping the energy up with fun and purposeful games.

  • '5 Things' Resilience Workshops

    We bring communities together to share practical and achievable disaster preparedness actions. Participants share and learn 5 staple foods to keep in the pantry to prepare for food supply shortages, 5 reliable sources of local information to use during a disaster, 5 resilient plants to grow in the garden to use as food sources during disasters, and 5 things to keep in an emergency evacuation kit then share a meal cooked with examples of food staples that can be kept on hand for during emergencies.

  • Bellingen Riverwatch Macro Musters

    We run the largest macroinvertebrate monitoring citizen science program in Australia. This event is run biannually in May and October and sees community members come together with scientists from around the state to gather waterbug data to support the recovery of the critically endangered Bellinger River Snapping turtle.

    Our volunteers have worked together over the past six years to collect the largest water quality data set in NSW. Data supports the recovery of the Bellinger River Snapping turtle and influences decision making.
