About Us
OzGREEN is an environmental charity founded in 1992 on a mission to create connected and resilient communities.
Based on the Mid North Coast of NSW, we design and deliver hands-on, place-based programs that bring people together through nature, learning, movement and practical action.
Our programs strengthen physical, mental and social wellbeing, build skills and confidence, create opportunities to participate in STEM and give people practical ways to protect and restore the environment.
We work alongside community members, volunteers, schools, councils, scientists, government agencies and local organisations, with a particular focus on regional communities experiencing disadvantage.
At the heart of our work is a simple idea:
When people feel connected, capable and able to contribute, both communities and the environments around them are stronger.

Why Our Mission?
-
Why connected?
Strong relationships within communities foster trust, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose. When people feel connected to one another, they are more likely to work together to solve local challenges, care for each other, and take collective action.
-
Why resilient?
A resilient community is one where people are connected, supported, and empowered. Our programs and events foster relationships, leadership, community capacity and shared purpose, which are all key ingredients for bouncing back from adversity.
How we work
We align ourselves with the bigger picture.
We build relationships with our participants, volunteers and partners.
We gather feedback and listen to it.
We work with communities over a long period of time to maximise impact.
Award-winning programs
Our programs and events have been recognised nationally and internationally.
