About Us
OzGREEN is an environmental charity founded in 1992 on a mission to create connected, resilient communities.
We believe wellbeing is at the foundation of connected, resilient communities that care for people and the environment. We also recognise that STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) will be essential to solving the complex environmental challenges of the future. We inspire participation and create opportunities for people who remain under-represented in STEM.
Our Mission
To create connected and resilient communities by bringing people together through nature, learning and practical action that strengthens wellbeing and protects the environment.
Our Programs
Our programs bring people together through nature connection, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), citizen science and environmental education to strengthen wellbeing, protect rivers, restore habitat, reduce waste and increase participation in STEM for those historically under-represented in STEM.
STEM Conference for Regional Girls

Why Our Mission?
-
Why connected?
Strong relationships within communities foster trust, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose. When people feel connected to one another, they are more likely to work together to solve local challenges, care for each other, and take collective action.
-
Why resilient?
A resilient community is one where people are connected, supported, and empowered. Our programs and events foster relationships, leadership, community capacity and shared purpose, which are all key ingredients for bouncing back from adversity.
